Thanksgiving has come and gone. We haven't even gotten over all of the preparation, overeating, and travel, and now it's time to start preparing for Christmas, Kwanzaa, and Hanukkah. Has your child been behaving differently since Thanksgiving? Are you seeing some old behaviors resurface? It's very likely that they are reacting to the over-stimulation of Thanksgiving. You can help them to readjust and feel secure again by laying low and hanging out at home for awhile. Take the time to re-visit some attachment activities and see how they respond. This may just create the "Holiday Harmony" that you're hoping for.
